Writer-performers Annabelle Gurwitch, Wendy Spero and Beth Lapides will take part in a literary salon at Makor, 35 W. 67th St. (between Columbus + Central Park West), on Thursday, January 25th at 7 PM.

According to press notes, "the three NYC expatriates will discuss their new books – Spero's bestselling Microthrills, Lapides' Did I Wake You: Haikus for Modern Living, and Gurwitch's paperback edition of Fired! Moderator Gurwitch also dishes about the documentary film adaptation of Fired! which showcases colorful tales of unexpected unemployment. The night also includes ticket giveaways for the film (which opens January 26) and a book signing."

Visit www.firedbyannabellegurwitch.com to submit your own story about being fired; the best story will be read out loud at the event and posted on-line.

Tickets are $7 in advance; $10 at the door. For tickets, call (212) 601-1000 or visit www.makor.org
