Emmy and Tony Award winning actress and singer Kristin Chenoweth will be the recipient of the theater's 2016 Giving Voice Award on April 28.
Chenoweth has starred in a variety of successful film, television, voiceover, and stage projects over the span of her career. She received an Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her work on the ABC series Pushing Daisies and a Tony Award for her performance in YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN. Most recently, she earned a Tony Award nomination for her role in Broadway's ON THE TWENTIETH CENTURY. She has previously earned two Emmy Award nominations for her role in Fox's Glee, as well as a Tony Award nomination for the role of Glinda in Wicked.
Chenoweth has appeared across the globe in concert as a soloist and has collaborated with renowned orchestras such as the New York Philharmonic, the Boston Pops, the National Symphony, the Chicago Symphony, and the San Francisco Symphony. She recently received a coveted star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the category of Live Performance/Theatre.
