Carnegie Hall today announced that Kristin Chenoweth, who was scheduled to perform in the Marilyn Horne Foundation Annual Recital-entitled Dames At "C"-in Zankel Hall on Friday, January 22 at 7:30 p.m., is unable to perform due to contractual obligations with the television series Glee and must therefore cancel her appearance.

Carnegie Hall and the Marilyn Horne Foundation are pleased to announce that soprano Kathleen Kim-acclaimed for her performances this season as Olympia in the new production of Les Contes d'Hoffmann at the Metropolitan Opera-has agreed to step in for Ms. Chenoweth at the January 22 concert. Ms. Kim's repertoire is to be announced.

Repertoire has already been announced for The Song Continues...duo recitals that feature soprano Nadine Sierra, mezzo-soprano Sasha Cooke, and baritones Jerome Tan and Kelly Markgraf and for the annual recital that features sopranos Keri Alkema, Elaine Alvarez, Amanda Majeski, and Jennifer Zetlan. Please find repertoire and artist information here. For further information and tickets, the public may contact CarnegieCharge at 212-247-7800.

Metropolitan Opera soprano Kathleen Kim, critically acclaimed for her performances as Olympia this season in the new production of Les Contes d'Hoffmann, will next appear at the Met in February 2010 as Zerbinetta in the reprise of Ariadne auf Naxos. In 2009, Kim made her debut as Armida in Rinaldo at Central City Opera (Denver). During the 2010 season, she will make her debut at the Atlanta Opera as Queen of the Night in Die Zauberflöte. A graduate of the Manhattan School of Music, Ms. Kim attended the Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara in 2004, where Miss Horne is head of the vocal program. Miss Horne later recommended Ms. Kim for an audition at the Ryan Opera Center at the Lyric Opera of Chicago, where she auditioned and was accepted. At the Lyric, she appeared as Adele in Die Fledermaus, the Page in Rigoletto, the Milliner in Der Rosenkavalier, and Frasquita in Carmen for student matinees.
