Ask Kristin Chenoweth anything!
Multi-award-winning stage and screen superstar Kristin Chenoweth recently presented a new PBS concert special titled KRISTIN CHENOWETH: COMING HOME and the DVD is now available for pre-order with Chenoweth promoting the release by participating in a fan Q&A on popular site Reddit today.
Regarding the in development film adaptation of WICKED, Chenoweth shares, "First of all, I'm glad they are going to do a movie. I figured they'd do it someday - I don't know when it's planned for. I mean of course i'd love to be involved - it is a huge part of my life. I don't know who I'd play - I'd be interested in Madame Morrible at this point - it gives a bigger audience a chance to see the show, and that makes me happy, whether I'm involved or not."
As for the oft-proposed musical adaptation of cult TV series PUSHING DAISIES, Chenoweth adds, "Well, I know that Brian Fuller would very much like to do a musical version of PUSHING DAISIES. And I would very much like for him to do that. He's said that publicly, and we've talked about it and i just want to encourage him to do that, because none of our cast got closure. We didn't find out that we were cancelled until Christmas, and so we were all out for Christmas break and didn't get to say goodbye. It was a cult favorite, and I'm probably the most proud of that. I liked playing the underdog. I liked playing the woman who was in love with a man that she couldn't have. I don't think there's a person alive who doesn't understand loving a person they can't have - maybe they're emotionally unavailable, married, in love with somebody else - who knows the reason, but that was a good part. Olive Snook, I loved her. Plus she was a terrible waitress."
