At the 2009 Emmy's, Broadway belle Kristin Chenoweth comically dropped the names of her favorite television shows in a charming, emotional appeal for more work. So far, nothing, reports IMDB news.
Chenoweth took home the trophy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy for the now defunct "Pushing Daisies" last weekend.
She told the audience, "I'm unemployed now, so I'd like to be on Mad Men. I also like The Office, 24 - Hello (30 Rock star) Alec (Baldwin)... Thank you so much to the Academy for recognising a show that's no longer on the air."
Alas, almost a week later and the phone has been silent.
Says Chenoweth, "Our show was cancelled so I thought, well, better take this time and say what shows you want to be on! But no, no (I haven't heard from anyone)."
Chenoweth is best known for her roles as Sally Brown in Broadway's YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, Charlie Brown and Glinda in Broadway's WICKED. She has appeared in "The West Wing" as Annabeth Scott and, most recently, in "Pushing Daisies."
