Casting has been announced for the Pasadena Playhouse's production of John Patrick Shanley's Defiance.

The play, by the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of Doubt, will begin previews January 12th, open on January 19th and run through February 18th.

The production will star Kevin Kilner (Drama Desk nominee for The Glass Menagerie) as Colonel Littlefield, Kilner's real life wife JorDan Baker (Suddenly Last Summer) as Margaret Littlefield, Dennis Flanagan ("Charmed") as Private Davis, Robert Manning, Jr. (Joe Fearless) as Captain Lee King, Leo Marks as Chaplain White and Joel Polis.

"It is 1971 and North Carolina's Camp Lejeune military base is rife with racial unease. When Colonel Littlefield invites a black officer, Captain Lee King, to his home to discuss the building tensions, unexpected and profound events turn the discourse from race to an even deeper exchange that touches the heart and soul of all involved," state Pasadena Playhouse notes.

The Playhouse is currently presenting the stage musical Sister Act through December 23rd.  The musical has grossed over a million dollars for the theatre.  It will next play Atlanta's ALLIANCE THEATRE from January 17th through February 25th.
