Writer/actor/producer/comedian Kevin Shinick invites you to experience the twisted journey that was his childhood in his one-man show, Mother Mayhem, before his mother finds out about it. This one night only performance will be held on Tuesday, December 4th at 8:00 PM at the Acme Comedy Theatre.

Shinick, writer/producer/voice actor for Warner Bros. animated series MAD on Cartoon Network, is also a voice actor and contributing writer/co-producer for Adult Swim's Robot Chicken. Shinick began his career as a Broadway star. But he began his life as an embattled son who immersed himself in pop culture to escape his mother. So don't forget, Mum's the word!

Acme Comedy Theatre is located at 135 N. La Brea Ave., between Beverly Blvd. and 1st Street.
Tickets are $15.00 in advance, $17 at the door. Reserve by calling (323) 525-2020 or visiting www.acmecomedy.com or http://www.laughstub.com/buyTicket.cfm?showTimingID=203872&buy.

Kevin Shinick won an Emmy for Outstanding Animated Program Short-Format as a writer on Adult Swim's Robot Chicken. In 2012, he was Emmy-nominated in the same category for his own show, Cartoon Network's MAD, where he's the showrunner/writer/producer and main voice talent. Shinick guest starred on NBC's Grimm this season and has a recurring role on David E. Kelly's upcoming medical drama, Monday Mornings. He recently penned a two-issue arc of Marvel's Avenging Spider-Man comic which was well received by critics and fans alike. Shinick was the voice of Nickelodeon for years and served as host and for PBS' Emmy-winning series, Where in Time is Carmen Sandiego? Shinick reprises his performance of Mother Mayhem for the first time in years. This may be his final performance as his mother recently discovered Google. Come spend an hour laughing and possibly commiserating. Just keep it to yourself.
