Tony Award-nominee Kerry Butler and Matt Walton will star in Under My Skin at The Little Shubert Theatre in New York. Leading the cast of Under My Skin will be Kerry Butler (Broadway: Xanadu (Tony nomination), The Best Man, Hairspray, Les Miserables, Rock of Ages, Beauty and the Beast) as Melody Dent, and Matt Walton (Film: Burn After Reading; TV: One Life to Live; Off-Broadway: Hair) as Harrison Baddish, a role he originated at The Pasadena Playhouse. Also reprising her role that originated at The Pasadena Playhouse will be Megan Sikora (Broadway: Gentleman Prefer Blondes, How to Succeed in Business, Promises, Promises) as Nanette. Additional cast members include: Allison Strong (Broadway: Bye Bye Birdie, Mamma Mia!) as Casey; Kate Loprest (Broadway: First Date, Hairspray, Wonderland, Xanadu, Drowsy Chaperone; TV: HBO's Boardwalk Empire); and Andrew Polk (Off-Broadway: Mouth to Mouth).
In Under My Skin, a twist of fate leads to love and laughs when New York's most eligible bachelor (Harrison Baddish) and a single, working mother (Melody Dent) hilariously experience each other's lives and see things from a very different perspective. From the acclaimed writing and producing team of Robert Sternin and Prudence Fraser and director Kirsten Sanderson, comes the Off-Broadway premiere of a new, outrageous, heartfelt comedy about sex, love, and healthcare...three things we all need, but can't always get.
The Off-Broadway production of Under My Skin will be directed by Kirsten Sanderson with Stephen Dobay as Scenic Designer, Lara de Bruijn as Costume Designer, Driscoll Otto as Lighting Designer, and Janie Bullard as Sound Designer. The production will be helmed by Lead Producer, Marla McNally Phillips, and Co-Producer Marcy Carsey.
