Rising songwriters Jonathan Reid Gealt and Kait Kerrigan & Brian Lowdermilk will have a joint celebration of their respective CD releases "Thirteen Stories Down" and "Our First Mistake" on Sh-K-Boom Records with back-to-back concerts at downtown venue (Le) Poisson Rouge on Monday, February 7th. Gealt's concert begins at 7pm. Kerrigan-Lowdermilk start at 10pm. Doors open thirty minutes before show time. Tickets are $20 for each show or $30 for a full-night concert pass.
The 7pm show, titled "Thirteen Stories Down - The Music of Jonathan Reid Gealt," will feature Tituss Burgess (Jersey Boys), Darius de Haas (Children of Eden), Matt Doyle (War Horse, Spring Awakening), Aisha de Haas (Caroline or Change), Zak Resnick (The Broadway Boys), Carrie Manolakos (Wicked), Quentin Earl Darrington (Ragtime), Dee Roscioli (Wicked), Andrew Call (American Idiot), Stephanie Umoh (Ragtime), Bridie Carroll (Grease), Alysha Umphress (American Idiot) and Adam Armstrong (The History Boys). The evening's music director will be the album's co-producer Lynne Shankel.
Kerrigan-Lowdermilk's 10pm show-part of their "You Made This Tour" series of concerts-will feature Aaron Bantum (Finian'sRainbow), Jenni Barber (The Bridge Project), Steven Booth (Glory Days), Katrina Rose Dideriksen (Jerry Springer: The Opera), Matt Doyle (War Horse, Spring Awakening), Meghann Fahy (next to normal), Kate Ferber (One Child Born: The Music of Laura Nyro), Lewis Grosso (Les Miserables), Rebecca Naomi Jones (American Idiot), Carrie Manolakos (Wicked), Andy Mientus (Spring Awakening), Laura Osnes (South Pacific, Anything Goes), Nadia Quinn (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson), Dee Roscioli (Wicked), Sarah Safer (White Christmas), Kate Shindle (Wonderland, Legally Blonde), Nathan Tysen (The Burnt Part Boys), Alysha Umphress (American Idiot), and singer/songwriters Jesse Ruben (The Ones that Matter) and The Spring Standards (Things Would Be Different). You Made This Tour is directed by Daniel Goldstein and produced by Brian Lowdermilk in association with Michael Cassara and Rachel Routh.
Jonathan Reid Gealt's Thirteen Stories Downand Kerrigan-Lowdermilk's Our First Mistake are now available, as part of a series of new releases from Sh-K-Boom/Ghostlight Records which highlight the new generation of the musical Theatre World, furthering the label's mission to support and encourage new works and writers. Other recent releases in the new musical theatre genre include Joe Iconis' Things to Ruin, Will Van Dyke's Chasing the Day, Adam Gwon's Ordinary Days and Scott Burkell and Paul Loesel's (Sorta) Love Songs.
