While Keith's most recent visibility has been in the theatre, he is first and foremost an artist.His belief that every surface, like every person, is multi-layered with tissues of hidden history is at the core of his success both as a director and visual artist.

Keith first studied art on a scholarship at THE ART GALLERY OF ONTARIO, followed by an Honours Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from YORK UNIVERSITY. After winning a NEW YORK TIMES illustration contest, he continued his studies in New York at THE ART STUDENTS LEAGUE and THE SCHOOL OF VISUAL ARTS. His renown soon grew; he was commissioned extensively by many great names including MANDATE, BROOKLYN ACADEMY OF MUSIC, HASBRO, and THE AMERICAN SHAW FESTIVAL.

After a decade of intense theatre work around the world, Keith has begun drawing again with colored pencil on old wooden doors and objets trouvés in upstate New York. His new series, DOORS, shown here for the first time, marks his return to the art world.
