On Monday, July 2 at 11:30 PM, Joe's Pub (425 Lafayette St.) will offer the "4th Meal Productions Benefit Concert," featuring an array of Broadway stars.
"4th Meal Productions, a newly founded theater company, will be hosting a benefit concert featuring Celia Keenan-Bolger (Les Miserables, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee), Marya Grandy (The Great American Trailer Park Musical), Marissa McGowan (Les Miserables), Deborah Craig (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee), Sarah Saltzberg (Don't Quit Your Night Job, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee), Wayne Wilcox (Light in the Piazza), and folk singer Maddy Wyatt. All proceeds will go towards 4th Meal's first production, an original play called Dorm Stories by Sarah-Violet Bliss," state press notes.
Dorm Stories will be playing August 10-18 at Where Eagles Dare Theater. 4th Meal Productions is a newly formed, New York based theater company started by five Oberlin Alums: Sarah-Violet Bliss 06', Liza Dickinson 06', Maggie Keenan-Bolger 06', Lizzie McAdam 06' and Marielle Solan 06.' "With a craving for fresh and fiery projects, 4th Meal aims to produce contemporary work motivated by engaging and performance driven pieces. By utilizing the individual artistic strengths of our company members in a fashion that fits our budget, 4th Meal hopes to create valuable entertainment. Instead of using our assets for overly elaborate spectacles, we are of the rock band mentality wherein we rely on the integrity of a powerful performance to connect to our audiences."
