Keen Company Toasts Off-Bway Move with 7/23 Benefit

To celebrate its official move to Off-Broadway, the Drama Desk award winning Keen Company  is hosting a benefit titled "Moving On Up (Town)." The event will be held on Sunday, July 23rd beginning at 7pm at Perdition.

For this coming season, the company is moving from 520 8th Avenue to  the Off-Broadway Theatre Row Theatres.  This past season, Keen Company's  productions included: The Breadwinner, Children of a Lesser God, and the critically acclaimed In the Matter of J. Robert Oppenheimer.

All proceeds from the 'Moving on Up (Town)' Benefit will go towards the first production of the 2006-2007 season, Matthew Burnett's adaptation of Thorton Wilder's novel Theophilus North.

The $25 price of a ticket to the benefit includes the first drink at the event.  There will be drink specials and desserts available throughout the evening, as well as raffle tickets. Raffle tickets will cost $5 (or 5 for $20) and prizes include: 2 subscriptions to Primary Stages 06-07 season, 2 tickets to The Pain and the Itch at Playwrights Horizons, autographed Bobby Flay cookbooks, the second season of "Deadwood" on DVD, 2 tickets to Altar Boyz, and more.
