Lincoln
Center and Faust Harrison Pianos will continue with its series of live
performances from the best of cabaret, jazz and Broadway in December
with two special events, each beginning at 6:00 p.m. Each performance will be held at Tower Records Lincoln Center (66th St. and Broadway).
On December 7th, Eric Comstock will perform selections from his
new CD, No One Knows. "Those of you who are familiar with Eric's work as
a fine cabaret singer will discover a new side to his talent in this
jazz influenced album in which Eric sings and plays the piano," state press notes.
Then, on December 14, the First Annual Any
Wednesday Holiday Party will be presented. "Join the best performers from the worlds of
cabaret, jazz and Broadway to celebrate the holiday season." Performers
scheduled to appear include: Lisa Asher, Boulevard East, Barbara Brussell, Philip Chaffin, Eric
Comstock, Joan Crowe, Catherine DuPuis, Fyvush Finkel, Brian Gari, Jeff
Harnar, Judy Kaye, Jasper Kump, Deborah Latz, Valerie Lemon, Eidan
Lipper, Maryann Plunkett, Barbara Rosene, Toli Reid, and David Vernon.
A special part of the evening will be devoted to songs from a new CD,
The Odd Potato, a Chanukah musical featuring 20 Tony winners that is written
by Eileen Bluestone Sherman and Gail C. Bluestone. Proceeds from the
album benefit Variety – The Children's Charity. Tony Award-winner Kaye, currently
starring Souvenir on Broadway, and Plunkett (Me and My Girl), along with
musical director Jay Kerr, will be featured in this part of the concert.
