The New York Times is reporting that Katie Holmes may have her sights set on a Broadway return in the near future with William Mastrosimone's Extremities. Holmes has reportedly been tapped to play the role of a woman who "turns the tables" on her attempted rapist and must decide how to handle the situation.
The production could arrive on Broadway as early as next season, with Kenny Leon likely to direct. Debbie Bisno and Ray Gaspard will executive produce. To read the full report in the New York Times, click here.

Susan Sarandon originated the lead role of Marjorie in the 1982 off-Broadway production. Farrah Fawcett later took over the role to great critical acclaim. Katie Holmes made her Broadway debut in the recent revival of All My Sons.
