Kathy Brier, last seen on Broadway as Hairspray's spirited Tracy Turnblad, will take her concert act to two college campuses for free concerts that will feature songs from her solo CD debut "Heartbreaker."
On September 2nd, she will head to Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, NY for an 8 PM concert at the Reisinger Concert Hall. Seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
Brier will then perform at Staten Island's Wagner College (her alma mater) on September 9th at 11:30 AM. She will perform on an outdoor stage by the school's alumni tent as part of Homecoming celebrations. After the show, she will sign autographs and pose for pictures with fans.
"'Heartbreaker' includes the beautiful ballad "When It's Real" written by the legendary Diane
Warren featured on the May 8th episode of 'One Life to Live.' Other
songs in the 'Heartbreaker' collection include 'Wrecked,' 'Untouchable'
and 'I Survived You' which are featured on the website, and the
haunting 'O, City' which you, the fans, convinced Kathy to record!,"
according to previous notes on Brier's CD, which was released in May.
Brier, who made her Broadway debut in Hairspray, has also been seen Off-Broadway in Bat Boy and The Prince and the Pauper. She is an Emmy-nominee for her work on "One Life to Live."
