On June 6, 2015, downtown York's historic Strand-Capitol Performing Arts Center will welcome back comedian Kathleen Madigan to perform her latest stand-up comedy special MADIGAN AGAIN. Tickets are on sale now to Strand-Capitol members and go on sale to the general public on Thursday, December 4 at 10:00 a.m.
Throughout her 25-year career, the award-winning comedy star has been said to be one of the funniest stand-up comedians of her generation, along with Lewis Black, Brian Regan and Jim Gaffigan. Madigan has won both the American Comedy Award and the Phyllis Diller Award for "Best Female Comedian" and is the only comedian in the history of NBC's Last Comic Standing to go unchallenged - meaning no comedian would say they were funnier than her.
Madigan will perform at the Strand-Capitol Performing Arts Center on Saturday, June 6 2015 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale now to Strand-Capitol members and go on sale to the general public on Thursday, Dec. 4 at 10:00 a.m.
More of Madigan's success includes performing on nearly every stand-up television show ever made, starring on HBO, Comedy Central and CMT's Salute to the Troops with Ron White, writing and producing for Lewis Black's Root of All Evil on Comedy Central and for Garry Shandling's Emmy monologues. She has also toured to Iraq and Afghanistan to perform for soldiers with pals Lewis Black, Robin Williams, John Bowman and musical acts Kid Rock, Zac Brown Band, Kix Brooks and Kellie Pickler.
