Producers of the five-time Tony Award nominated hit musical Rock of Ages have just announced that Kate Rockwell (Bring It On: The Musical, Legally Blonde), will 'Bring It' to Broadway's Bourbon Room, taking on the leading role of Sherrie - the "small town girl" who "took the midnight train goin' anywhere" - on Monday, January 21, 2013. That same day, Teresa Stanley (The Color Purple, Rock of Ages First National Tour) will take over the role of Justice, owner of the Sunset Strip's Venus Club.

Kate Rockwell, currently starring on Broadway as Skylar in Bring It On: The Musical, was a finalist on NBC's Grease: You're The One That I Want before making her Broadway debut in Legally Blonde ("Margot"), followed by the 2009 Broadway revival of Hair. Teresa Stanley made her Broadway debut in the ensemble of A Color Purple, performed in the 30th Anniversary tour of Ain't Misbehavin' and played the role of Justice in the First National Tour of Rock of Ages.

Current Rock of Ages cast members Ashley Spencer ("Sherrie") and Michele Mais ("Justice") will play their final performances on Sunday, January 20. Spencer has performed the role of Sherrie since May 2012, and Mais-who originated the role of Justice in the world premiere production in Los Angeles in 2006, before taking the show Off-Broadway in 2008 and to Broadway in 2009-will have performed in Rock of Ages over 1,500 times by her final bow on the 20th.

The five-time Tony Award nominated musical Rock of Ages, which recently celebrated its 1500th New York performance and is currently the 56th Longest Running Broadway Show in history, celebrated serving its one millionth Broadway customer last month. The milestone is one of many celebrated in 2012, the show's fourth year on Broadway, as Rock of Ages continues to sell out performances at the Helen Hayes Theater, consistently making the Broadway Top 10 for capacity, average ticket price and percentage of gross potential week after week. In 2012, Rock of Ages has also broken the Helen Hayes Theatre Box Office Record, for an 8-performance week, five times. The record was first broken in the week ending February 19, 2012 with $466, 140, surpassing the previous record of $460,130 earned by Xanadu in 2007. The production has continued this record-setting path, breaking its own Box Office Record an additional 4 times in the weeks ending June 10, 2012 ($472, 562), June 17, 2012 ($476, 967), June 24, 2012 ($506, 578) and October 7, 2012 ($532, 998).

ROCK OF AGES kicked off Broadway's Best Party on Tuesday, April 7, 2009 and played its final performance at The Brooks Atkinson Theatre on Sunday, January 9, 2011 before re-opening at The Helen Hayes Theatre on March 24, 2011.

The music that ignited a generation is heating up Broadway in Rock of Ages. The classic rock love story of the decade erupts into Broadway's Best Party, all to the sounds of such feel-good, sing-out-loud songs as "Every Rose Has Its Thorn", "I Wanna Know What Love Is", "Here I Go Again", "Don't Stop Believin" and more.

ROCK OF AGES currently stars a "Supergroup" of performers including Ashley Spencer as "Sherrie," Justin Matthew Sargent as "Drew," Joey Calveri as "Stacee Jaxx," Genson Blimline as "Lonny," Adam Dannheisser (Original Broadway Cast member) as "Dennis," Cody Scott Lancaster as "Franz," Michele Mais (Original Broadway Cast member) as "Justice," Josephine Rose Roberts as "Regina," and Paul Schoeffler (Original Broadway Cast member) as "Hertz." Rounding out the cast are Tessa Alves, Andrew Call, Tony LePage, Michael Minarik (Original Broadway Cast member), Jennifer Rias, Cassie Silva, Andre Ward (Original Broadway Cast member) and Neka Zang.

In addition to being a bona fide Broadway hit musical, Rock of Ages is currently rocking London's West End; is on its Second U.S. National Tour; hit the silver screen in June 2012 as a major motion picture starring Tom Cruise, Alec Baldwin, Russell Brand and Catherine Zeta-Jones; and just opened a sit-down production at the Venetian Resort in Las Vegas. Furthermore, the show was a runaway success in Toronto, Australia, and its 60-city First National Tour, and has licensed productions in several additional countries, including Korea and Japan.

ROCK OF AGES is produced on Broadway and world-wide by Matthew Weaver, Carl Levin, Jeff Davis, Barry Habib, Scott Prisand, Michael Cohl, Reagan Silber, Jonathan Linden/S2BN Entertainment and Relativity Media.
