Kate Bosworth and husband Michael Polish teamed up with fine jeweler Ocappi to design the bride's vintage-inspired wedding bands for their August 21 st, 2013 wedding. Ocappi is the first high-end brand of its kind, selling diamond engagement rings exclusively online.

Completely hand made and set in platinum, it took over 36 hours of meticulous work to build the custom pieces. "We are amazed at the level of execution of a design this unique. Because this is a ring worn every day, it was essential that it reflects our personal aesthetic," says Bosworth.

The first band was designed with a very fine profile to go with Bosworth's 1920's Art Deco engagement ring. "We both appreciate a classic, clean design in all aspects of our lives. This ring is a perfect representation of our aesthetic," says Bosworth. The ring features 18 brilliant baguette diamonds bezel set horizontally, with just over a half-carat of diamond weight. "Kate expressed how much she loved her engagement ring and how she wanted something to accompany it without taking too much attention away from it," says Ocappi Creative Director, Haki Abehsera.

The second band boasts 12 scintillating diamond baguettes, one to represent each month of the year. "Michael mentioned that maybe we should do something with 12 stones representing each month of the year," says Abehsera. The ring is horizontally set, with over a carat of diamond weight.

Bosworth was so happy with the two design options she chose to wear a double wedding band. "We were so delighted with how they both turned out and how beautiful they looked on Kate's hand, that it only made sense for her wedding band to be a double band," says Ocappi President Isaac Gurary.
