Kasey Marino has just been added to the 1/10/11 industry-only reading of DAYBREAK, a new musical by Bobby Cronin.

Hairspray's Marino joins previously announced Jennifer DiNoia (Broadway's current Elphaba stand-by), DAVID R. GORDON (GREASE tour), and Sheri Sanders ("Rock The Audition" , Urinetown tour) on Monday, January 10th at 3pm.

DAYBREAK will be produced by STEP Theater Company, Artistic Director LaQuet Sharnell (MEMPHIS) with Erica Ruff Productions as General Manager. Johanna Pinzler, who recently directed Cronin's sold-out concert at Birdland, will direct. Andrew Turteltaub will assist on the project with Maria Pendolino as stage manager. Cronin will serve as musical director with William Demaniow as assistant musical director/accompanist.

Set in and around San Francisco, DAYBREAK is an intricate musical with a lush contemporary score, about the dark places people may go when they are faced with life's unexpected changes and challenges. Without giving away any of the twists and turns, DAYBREAK focuses on "...two couples...two time periods...one bridge."

Bobby Cronin is the composer/lyricist of: WELCOME TO MY LIFE (formerly Bratt Camp), book by Alicia Dempster; 'TIL DEATH DO US PART, book by Allen Mogol; CYRANA, book by Crystal Skillman; he contributed four songs to the award winning score of TEN REASONS I WON'T GO HOME WITH YOU, book by Kelly Nichols; and STEP Theatre Company's CATY BRIDGWATER, book by Trey Tatum. Cronin co-wrote A CHRISTMAS CAROL with Angelyn Fullarton Benson which has played at numerous regional theatres, and he's composed for the theatre-based webseries THANK YOU, NEXT. Bobby's work will be showcased by SimG Production this February at The Players Theatre in London featuring top West End performers and musicians. Cronin is a graduate of Yale University and a member of The Dramatists Guild and ASCAP. His debut CD "Reach The Sky: Bobby Cronin Live at The Beechman" is available on iTunes, Amazon.com and at www.bobbycronin.com. Next project: The Songs of Bobby Cronin at London's The New Players Theatre produced by SimG Productions on February 27th, 2011.
