Tony Award winner Karen Ziemba (Bullets Over Broadway, Curtains), John Bolton (A Christmas Story, The Musical, Spamalot) and newcomer Ethan Slater will lead a cast for two readings of SOCIAL LIFE: The Musical in February.

What happens when a family that becomes so saturated in a world full of technology and social media, that they lose human connection with one another? In SOCIAL LIFE: The Musical, tweeting at the dinner table, vlogging, online shopping and one incredibly snarky smart phone are commonplace. Because of the timely content, the staging aspires to utilize technical elements that have never been used before in the theatre. SOCIAL LIFE is driven by complex electro-pop tracks.

Conceived and co-written by Chris Myers, the writing team includes Ricky Dunlop (book & lyrics), Jeremiah Rosenthal (music) and Alex Kantor (additional book & lyrics). The readings will be directed by Mindy Cooper (50 Shades! The Musical, Soul Doctor Off-Broadway) with musical direction from Jeffrey Saver (Chicago, End of the Rainbow). The readings were cast by Stephanie Klapper Casting.

Also featured in the readings are: Beth Stafford Laird, Susan G. Bob, Dan Tracy, Kelly King, Jake Mckenna and Michael Lorz.

The invite-only readings will take place on Sunday, February 8th at The Tribeca Grand Theater and Monday, February 9th at Pearl Studios. Industry professionals can find out more information and RSVP by contacting Ricky Dunlop at Ricky@SocialLifeTheMusical.com.
