Broadway Star, Karen Mason (Wonderland, Mamma Mia! and the upcoming Broadway show, Rebecca), brings her talents to the intimate stage (78 seats) at CAP21 where she is performing in their benefit series, Concerts for CAP21.

As CAP21 approaches their 20th Anniversary, the concert series celebrates all of the accomplishments the organization has had and its goals of the future. Karen Mason: Unfinished Business will be performed tonight, July 17-July 19 and certain performances include a reception that is available for ticket buyers. Ticket Prices range from $25-$100. CAP21 is located at 18 West 18th Street, New York, NY 10011. Tickets and additional information are available at www.cap21.org or by calling 646.213.5488.

In Addition to the many roles Mason has played both on Broadway and Off-Broadway, she also has numerous awards under her belt including ten MAC Awards (six in which she won Best Female Vocalist of the Year), three Bistro Awards, an Outer Critics Circle Award, and two Drama Desk Nominations.

Mason’s concert, Unfinished Business is a tribute to her good friend and colleague, Brian Lasser. Lasser was a composer/lyricist and won an Emmy for his song “Hold Me”. He also was Mason’s Music Director before his death in 1992. Join Karen as she explores sixteen years of discovery, friendship, laughter, music, and heartache through the songbook of Brian Lasser.

As a Theatre Company, CAP21 productions have won three consecutive Jonathan Larson Awards and a 2012 GLAAD Award, among other accolades. The CAP21 Conservatory is one of the nation’s leading musical theatre training grounds and has over 100 alums that have performed on Broadway. Hundreds more have performed Off-Broadway, in national tours, and in film and television. Notable Alums include Lady Gaga (Grammy Winner), Matthew Morrison (Glee), and Nikki James (Tony Winner, The Book of Mormon).
