Originally planned for only March 19, the KIDS' NIGHT ON BROADWAY special pricing offer is now extended to the Sunday, March 22 performance at 6:30P. The special pre-show event will now be before the Sunday evening performance of CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG; there will be no pre-show event on Thursday, but the special pricing offer still applies. With the purchase of a regularly-priced ticket, children aged 18 and under can receive a FREE ticket of equal value for the Thursday performance or the Sunday evening performance of CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG.

On Sunday, March 22 from 5:30P - 6:00P, in addition to the pricing offer, there will also be an exciting pre-show event at PPAC before the 6:30P performance for KIDS' NIGHT ON BROADWAY attendees. Kids will have a chance to meet some cast members before the show, and much more! For ticketing information about KIDS' NIGHT ON BROADWAY, contact the Box Office at (401) 421-ARTS.

From March 19 - April 6, posters depicting projects from recipients of the 2009 ArtReach grants, a program that provides support for inspiring arts educators in Rhode Island, will be on display on the PPAC promenade behind the First Dress Circle. This year's ArtReach program incorporated educational and creative elements inspired by CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG while connecting the performing and visual arts. The ArtReach program is jointly sponsored by PPAC and Rhode Island Monthly. Any Rhode Island arts educators that are interested in the 2010 ArtReach program should contact John Chamberlin at jchamber@risd.edu.

The Providence engagement of CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG also features six local children in the chorus. In October of 2008, over eighty children came to PPAC for the audition, which consisted of them learning choreography from the show, on-site, and singing an up-tempo song of their choice. The show's producers selected Andrew Purdy, of Franklin, MA; Eric Halvarson, of Cranston; Rebekah Philip, of Rehoboth, MA; Carolina King and Virginia King, of Clayville; and Fifer Horwitz of Tiverton as the regulars, and Daniel Perkins, of Bellingham, MA and Maddie Crump, of Norfolk, MA as the boy and girl alternates. The six regulars will appear in all six CHITTY performances at PPAC, including both KIDS' NIGHT ON BROADWAY performances.

CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG performance times are as follows: Thursday, March 19 at 7:30P (with Kids' Night on Broadway special pricing) Friday, March 20 at 8P, Saturday, March 21 at 2P & 8P, and Sunday, March 22 at 1P & 6:30P (with KIDS' NIGHT pricing plus a pre-show event). Tickets for CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG are $60, $55, $53, $48, $43, $38, and $33; all ticket prices include a $3 per ticket restoration charge. Tickets for all shows can be purchased at PPAC's Box Office window at 220 Weybosset Street in downtown Providence, or by calling (401) 421-ARTS, Monday - Friday from 10A - 5P and Saturdays from 10A - 2P; or visit www.ppacri.org to purchase tickets any time. Discounted admission is available for groups of 20 or more; for more information, email Paul Hiatt at phiatt@ppacri.org or call (401) 574-3162.
