For the first time ever, regular Joe's Pub performer Justin Levine will dedicate an entire evening to his own eclectic work, which ranges from jazz to rock to gospel to the blues and more. The concert, tonight, September 24th at 9:30 p.m., will feature music from a few of his latest projects, including songs inspired by the life of Madam C.J. Walker, the first African American millionaire, and a jazz-fueled romp into the madness of Guy Fawkes and the Gunpowder Plot.

With a band led by the Charlie Rosen (recently seen on Broadway conducting One Man, Two Guvnors), Justin will be joined onstage by singers including Tony nominee de'Adre Aziza (Passing Strange, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, Spike Lee's film Red Hook Summer); Tony nominee Daniel Breaker (Broadway's upcoming Performers, Passing Strange, Shrek, Cymbeline, Well); Drama Desk Winner Santino Fontana (Broadway's upcoming Cinderella, The Importance of Being Earnest, Brighton Beach Memoirs, Billy Elliot, SUNDAY IN THE Park with George, Sons of the Prophet); and Christina Sajous (Spider Man: Turn Off the Dark, Baby, It's You!, American Idiot, Barack on Broadway).

Justin was recently seen onstage at The Public Theater and on Broadway as the orchestrator, musical director, and conductor for Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson. His work has been developed at NAMT (upcoming), Ars Nova, Naked Angels, and New York Stage and Film.

As a composer, music director, performer and orchestrator, Justin has collaborated with David Byrne, Doug Elkins, Alex Timbers, Michael Friedman, Trip Cullman, Ted Sperling, Liz Swados, Lila Downs, to name a few, and is currently working at MTC, Roundabout, The Public and Naked Angels.

Justin is the co-founder of downtown musical comedy duo act Pepper & Sam, which he performs with his collaborator Salty Brine. Pepper & Sam recently played Joe's Pub as part of Benjamin Walker's monthly comedy series "Find the Funny" hosted there.

Justin received a BFA from NYU and has appeared as an actor in Edgewise (Cherry Lane) and Two Girls for Five Bucks (Ars Nova).
