The Cleve Carney Art Gallery hosts the College of DuPage's Annual Juried Student Art Exhibit at the McAninch Arts Center, 425 Fawell Blvd., Glen Ellyn, April 10 to May 17. Opening preview reception is Thursday, April 10 from 4 to 6 p.m. and the gallery will be open until 8 p.m. that evening for extended viewing. Every spring the College's professional gallery presents the Annual Juried Student Art Exhibit. Staci Boris, the chief curator at the Elmhurst Art Museum, juried this year's show. Her selections include 41 works by 33 students, selected from 178 works submitted by 72 students from the greater Chicago area. This year's artworks include photography, jewelry, ceramics, sculpture, painting, and drawing from the following artists: Janine Cook (Aurora); Tammy Caltagirone (Batavia); Emily Weber (Carol Stream); Macús Alonso (Chicago); Jamie Matthews, Sarah Ann Mrozinski and Ngoc Ngo (Glendale Heights); Valerie Espinoza, Lorae Mundt, Jangyul Park, Philip Schnell (Downers Grove); Danielle Naughton (Lombard); Lynn Anderson, Shekia Baker, Don A. Larson Jr. and Sherri Siegele (Naperville); Gabriela Guganovic (St. Charles); Paul Davies, Robert Englehart, Mijeong Field, Daniel Gerut and Kenneth L. Jacobs (Wheaton); Joanne Barsant and Samuel Woodka (Roselle); Michael (Misa) P. Albanese (Warrenville); Zlatka M. Burtis and Jerry A. Schulman (Western Springs); Matt Levins (Westmont); Charles Loggins III (Willowbrook); Aline Fetter and Eric Rylowicz (Winfield); and Mike Hunnicutt (Woodridge). Boris also selected first, second and third award recipients and two honorable mention monetary awads. These award recipients plus a DuPage Art League Scholarship Prize will be announced at the 5 p.m. on April 10 in the Cleve Carney Art Gallery.

Following the opening preview reception, the exhibition can be viewed during regular gallery hours Monday through Thursday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Thursday 6 to 8 p.m.; and Saturday 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. The gallery is usually open beginning one hour prior to MAC performances and during intermission.
