The Cripple of Inishmaan is set in Ireland's Aran Islands. The show is described on MGC's website as "Cripple Billy, orphaned since birth, just might have found a way off the Isle of Aran and a route all the way to Hollywood if he can persuade a small community of Islanders how much he wants to realise his dream. Martin McDonagh's comic masterpiece examines an ordinary coming of age in extraordinary circumstances and confirms his position as one of the most original Irish voices to emerge in the second half of the twentieth century. Daniel Radcliffe plays the title role in the first major London revival since its premiere at The National Theatre in 1996."

The show's creative team will feature set and costume design by Christopher Oram, lighting design by Paule Constable and composer and sound designer Alex Baranowski.

Radcliffe was cast at age 11 in the Harry Potter film series and is best known for his roles the franchise's eight films. He has also appeared in December Boys, My Boy Jack, The Woman in Black, the TV series A Young Doctor's Notebook, Allen Ginsberg's Kill Your Darlings, and has Horns and The F Word in post-production. Radcliffe also appeared in Broadway's recent revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, as well as Equus.
