'Masha' is headed to Showtime.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, former VANYA AND SONIA AND MASHA AND SPIKE star Julie White has landed a major recurring role on the sixth season of Showtime's Edie Falco-led series NURSE JACKIE.
White is set to take on the role of "Antoinette, a ballsy Southern Realtor who becomes an AA sponsor to a spiraling Jackie. Antoinette has seen and heard it all and could potentially be Jackie's match."
Nurse Jackie stars Falco in her Emmy Award-winning role as Jackie Peyton, a strong-willed and brilliant - but very flawed - emergency room nurse. The fifth season of the series currently airs on Sundaynights at 9 p.m. ET/PT, and the season five finale will air on Sunday, June 16. Emmy Award nominee Clyde Phillips serves as showrunner and executive producer. Caryn Mandabach, Richie Jackson and Tom Straw also serve as executive producers.
Production for the sixth season begins this fall in New York ahead of its 2014 premiere.
Nurse Jackie season five currently averages 3.1 million weekly viewers across platforms, ten percent above its prior season through the same time frame. The series also stars Merritt Wever, Paul Schulze, Dominic Fumusa, Anna Deavere Smith and Peter Facinelli. Bobby Cannavale and Morris Chestnut are season five's special guest stars. Stephen Wallem, Betty Gilpin and Adam Ferrara are guest stars.

She also received an Obie Award and nominations from the Drama Desk, Lucille LortelAwards, Outer Critics Circle and the Drama League for this performance. She recently starred on stage in From Up Here (Drama Desk, Drama League nominations) at Manhattan Theatre Club. Her other New York stage appearances include Fiction at The Roundabout, The Heidi Chronicles, Dinner With Friends, Barbra's Wedding and also Bad Dates, Spike Heels, and The Family of Man all by Theresa Rebeck.
