Julie Budd Comes to 92Y For Dorothy Fields Program, Today

By popular demand, pianist David Lahm returns to share more songs and stories about his mother, Dorothy Fields, considered by many to be America's leading female lyricist. Cabaret singer Julie Budd joins Lahm for a special guest performance, along with Harvey Granat.

Dorothy Fields' collaborations with Jerome Kern, Irving Berlin, Jimmy McHugh and Cy Coleman, among others, have given us a catalog of many of the greatest songs of the American Songbook.

Harvey Granat is a popular cabaret performer, Broadway producer and historian of the American popular song. His programs focus on a composer or lyricist, combining his singing of their songs with stories from their lives, with insights from special guests and accompanist David Lahm.
