Legendary actress, singer and author Julie Andrews will be signing copies of her new memoir Home: A Memoir of My Early Years at the Barnes and Noble in Union Square today. Andrews, who rose to fame starring in such musicals as My Fair Lady and Camelot on Broadway, made the transition to big screen leading lady with her roles in Mary Poppins and The Sound of Music, amongst others.
Home, which hit bookshelves yesterday, tells of Andrews's life up until the Poppins filming. Included are anecdotes about her rough childhood, her professional solo debut, working with Rex Harrison and her relationship with first husband Tony Walton.
The book signing is from 7-8pm.
