Julianne Hough Wants to Play 'Elphaba' in WICKED Film!

According to Vanity Fair, 'Dancing With the Stars' veteran and star of the 'Rock of Ages' movie Julianne Hough would like to star as 'Elphaba' in a film version of WICKED. Hough told Vanity Fair: "I want to be Elphaba. I mean, in my mind I’m like, I don’t want to do any musicals for a while, since they’re like the only movies I’ve done, so I’m like, Let’s just wait five years and they’ll have to come out and make that and I will definitely do that!"

Julianne Hough made her feature film debut in "Burlesque", opposite Christina Aguilera and Cher. She has also released two country albums in the last few years. She recently starred opposite Kenny Worlmald in the film remake of 'Footloose.' 'Rock of Ages' will be released in theatres on June 1, 2012.
