Julia Murney, Rob Evan, et al. Set for Shriners Hospital Benefit, 12/05

On Monday, December 5, 2011, stars from your favorite Broadway shows will perform a one-night-only New York concert event to benefit Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Donna Kane (Meet Me In St. Louis, Les Miserables), Julia Murney (Wicked, Wild Party), Annie Golden (Hair, Assassins), Rob Evan (Jekyll & Hyde), Ed Watts (The Fantasticks, Finians Rainbow), Marsh Hanson (Les Miserables), Matt Leisy (The Fantasticks), Ciaran Sheehan (Phantom of the Opera), Robi Hager (Spring Awakening), Georga Osborne (My Fair Lady, MAC Award -winner), Dorothy Stanley (Sweeney Todd, Showboat) and more are scheduled to perform .With musical direction by Mark Hartman(Avenue Q, Sondheim On Sondheim), the program will include some of Broadway's signature hits, including "I Dreamed A Dream", "This is the Moment", "Defying Gravity", "Try to Remember", "Music of the Night" and "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" sung by the stars who performed them on Broadway.

Stage, screen and television star Frances Sternhagen (Driving Miss Daisy, Cheers, ER) will make a special appearance.

The concert will be hosted by award-winning Broadway leading lady Donna Kane, whose own daughter was successfully treated with innovative spine surgery at Shriners Hospital, Philadelphia. All proceeds will go to help purchases needed equipment for the new operating room at the Philadelphia Hospital. The non-profit Shriners Hospitals for Children-Philadelphia provides specialty pediatric care in orthopedics and spinal cord injury, without regard to families' financial circumstances.

Broadway Loves Shriners Hospitals for Children Benefit Concert begins at 7pm at the beautiful and historic Masonic Hall, in the heart of Manhattan at 23rd Street and 6th Avenue.
