After three successful seasons Judith Blazer's (LoveMusik, Titanic, Bernarda Alba), The Artist's Crossing returns for its annual musical theatre intensive in NYC.

This year, the company will be conducting two series of the popular workshop--the first, its traditional college to career intensive for artists navigating the Early Stages of a career in the professional theatre world; the second is tailored to individuals preparing to audition for the conservatories and university drama/musical theatre programs.

Blazer will again lead a team of "Crossing Guards" including Jack Allison (multiple award winning director, Head of Musical Theatre at Point Park Conservatory in Pittsburgh), Ellen Beckerman (Artistic Director of Light Box, Director of Ajax: 100% Fun), Diane Ciesla (Lost In Yonkers National Tour, The Goodman Theatre), Martin Moran (Spamalot, Cabaret, author and performer of the award-winning The Tricky Part), Kathryn Morath (Nick & Nora, The Pirates of Penzance, Instructor at AMDA - NYC & LA), Mark Simon, CSA (Parade, Show Boat, NYCO's Sweeney Todd), Christopher Stephens (Shout! The Mod Musical, Instructor at AMDA – NYC) and Jessica Wright (LoveMusik, 2006 revival of Company and 2005 revival of Sweeney Todd).

"Founded in 2003, by Judith Blazer (Artistic Director), Landon Scott Heimbach (Executive Director) and Joseph Bates, The Artist's Crossing is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the mentoring of young talent by bringing together a diverse group of seasoned artists to guide and instruct young performers. Through workshops, one-on-one lessons, and Master Classes, The Artist's Crossing serves as a springboard for the creation of new works as well," according to press notes.

In addition to Advanced Acting and Song Analysis classes, the Viewpoints, and Career Consultations annually offered at The Artist's Crossing, this summer's workshops will also feature the following discourses:

--"The Cast System:" An inside look at today's theatrical casting process.
--"For Love Of Acting: The Art of Living"  The ways in which we stay attuned to what
keeps our living artful and our hearts open, are key to our continued work.
--"Olympic Swingers:" The art of covering multiple roles.

This season, 20 young artists for each session (Friday, July 13 – Sunday, July 15 and Friday, August 24 – Sunday, August 25) will be selected to join the 4th annual company. The cost for each workshop is $350. Applications and a current picture and resume must be sent to:
