Josh Gad & Ian McKellen Post Pic From UK Working On BEAUTY & THE BEAST Live Action Film

BEAUTY & THE BEAST is in production in the UK!

A new live action film version of the Broadway stage musical edition of classic animated Disney movie musical BEAUTY & THE BEAST is currently in production in the UK featuring classic Alan Menken and Howard Ashman songs from the film and the subsequent stage adaptation - which also boasts lyrics by Tim Rice - and new updates are being revealed daily.

Featured player Josh Gad shared his enthusiasm for the film this week, sharing a shot of himself alongside fellow Tony Award winner and BEAUTY & THE BEAST cast member Ian McKellen, commenting, "Ah...to be in the presence of royalty. How I love this man. #sirianmckellen".

Additionally, Gad posted today, "Yesterday, I walked onto a ballroom out of my childhood & saw Belle waltz w/a Beast. Get ready for magic people #BatB".

The official BEAUTY & THE BEAST Facebook page announced the Snapchat updates this week, stating, "Who'd have ever thought that this could be? Follow username Disney on Snapchat to go behind the scenes of live-action Beauty and the Beast as filming begins."

Of note, Snapchat participants who follow the user name Disney are offered access to exclusive photos from the set of the film, including a look at the official shooting screenplay and new Snapchat-ized images from the classic animated film, as well.

In addition to Emma Watson, the new BEAUTY & THE BEAST is set to showcase stage and screen star Dan Stevens as The Beast, along with film star Luke Evans as Gaston.

Of note, the starry cast also includes two-time Academy Award winner Emma Thompson, fellow Oscar winner Kevin Kline, six-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald, recognizable stage and screen star Timothy Spall and iconic stage and screen notable Sir Ian McKellen.

BEAUTY & THE BEAST is set to be released on March 17. 2017.
