Jordan's Play Lab will present a staged reading of Jordan Jaffe's new eco-drama Chained, directed by Dan Amboyer, featuring Desmin Borges (FX's "You're The Worst"), Allie Gallerani (The Long Shrift, dir James Franco), and Kumiko Konishi (Hyde Park on Hudson) at The Wild Project on December 11th at 7:30pm. This is a free event. The Wild Project is located at 195 E 3rd St, New York, NY 10009.
Chained follows celebrity actor turned environmental activist Veronica Woods (Allie Gallerani) as she travels to South Dakota to protest the construction of a new oil pipeline. After meeting local protester, Aiyana (Kumiko Konishi), Veronica chains herself to a remote stretch of the would be pipeline in an effort to kick the Sioux's protest up a notch. However, Veronica is not alone as Reggie (Desmin Borges), an oil company paramedic, has been charged with "keeping an eye" on her in an effort to avoid a PR nightmare, but things quickly become more complicated. A new eco-drama, Chained explores the struggle between humanity, technology, nature, and the spirits that dwell within each.
