Jonathan Whitton Celebrates CD Release at Beechman, 12/11

Newly founded Finite Records will release Jonathan Whitton's recent cabaret debut "Perfect Finite" on CD December 11.  Whitton played NYC's Laurie Beechman Theatre at The West Bank Café throughout August 2007.

The 21-track CD – entitled Jonathan Whitton: Live at the Laurie Beechman Theatre" – is scheduled to be released December 11 at 7PM with a show at the Laurie Beechman Theatre.  It will subsequently be available in limited release online at CDBaby.com and via iTunes.  Currently, it is available for pre-order online at www.jonwhitton.com/pre-order.html

The CD, which also played acclaimed engagements in NYC at The Duplex and The Triad, was recorded live on August 31, 2007 and captures the entire evening.  It was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Joey Pier of Pier Pressure Music.

According to press notes: "Jonathan Whitton's 'Perfect Finite' examines the fine line between beauty and anguish with eloquence and unfathomable wit.  With his sadistic charm and heartbreaking honesty, Whitton takes his audience on a unique and transcendent journey through the universal human experience."  Tamra Stephenson accompanied on piano.

The 21-Track Live CD will include songs from classic and contemporary musical theater composers. Tracks include "Sweet Dreams" (Bucchino), "A Little Brains, A Little Talent" (Adler & Ross), "And They're Off" (Finn), "Lazy Afternoon" (Latouche & Moross), "Good Thing Going/Not A Day Goes By" (Sondheim), "Streets of Dublin" (Ahrens & Flaherty), as well as Brad Ross' "Watching The Show," Scott Alan's "Now", and selections from Mark Campbell's "Songs from an Unmade Bed," amongst others.  Complete track listing is available on the pre-order page at Whitton's website.
