With a 51-member ensemble performing in the street while the audience looks on from inside a theatre, Jonathan Solari's "The Love Letter You've Been Meaning to Write New York," is far from an open book. The elaborate multi-media street spectacle's world premiere plays a 4-week engagement from Wednesday September 21 through Sunday October 16, at 3LD Art & Technology Center, 80 Greenwich Street. The opening is set for Saturday September 24 at 9pm.
Combining video, movement, puppetry, live music and scripted performance, "Love Letter" uses 3LD's floor-to-ceiling windows to frame the proceedings and to invert the play-going perspective. Thanks to sensitive audio and video equipment, audience members experience the interior world of the play as it unfolds outside in the real world.Members of the press are invited to see this production from the inside out on the following nights:Thursday September 22 at 8pmVideos
