Jon Bass, Lauren Blumenfeld and More Join Lesser America's JUST RIGHT JUST NOW; Full Cast Announced!

Theater for the New City, Crystal Field, Executive Director, presents the Lesser America production of Just Right Just Now, directed by Peter James Cook and Stella Powell-Jones. The show is an evening of original and premiere short plays by Clare Barron (Baby Screams Miracle), Eric Dufault (The Year of the Rooster), Anna Kerrigan (The Talls), Lauren Morelli (Orange is the New Black), Marco Ramirez (Sons of Anarchy), and BrIan Watkins (The Prairie Plays).

Featuring Jon Bass (Book of Mormon), Lauren Blumenfeld (The Assembled Parties), Eric Clem (All in the Timing), Alex Herrald, Laura Ramadei and Shayna Small.

The creative team will include set design by Edward T. Morris, costume design by Mira Veikley, sound design by Janie Bullard, lighting design by Eric Southern, and props by Sarah Dowling.

Just Right Just Now is a 90 minute selection of original short plays, featuring some of NYC's most thrilling and adventurous emerging writers. The play is one in a series, following in the footsteps of Too Little Too Late and Too Much Too Soon, by the same producing team. Writers in the preceding productions have achieved enormous success in their respective careers since, which bodes well for Lesser America's tradition of selecting the finest young authors. Too Little Too Late included work by Lucy Alibar (Academy Award Nominee - Beasts of the Southern Wild); Bekah Brunstetter (Switched at Birth; Upcoming: Cutie and Bear - Roundabout); Sam Forman (Upcoming Sleepless in Seattle musical); Amy Herzog (4000 Miles, Belleville); Liz Meriwether (creator of New Girl); and Daniel Talbott (Slipping, Theater Hall of Fame Award Winner). Too Much Too Soon featured plays written by Nikole Beckwith (Nicholl Fellowship in Screenwriting, Everything is Ours), Dean Imperial (NYIT Award nominated), Nick Jones (Trevor; Orange is the New Black), Melissa Ross (Thinner Than Water), Emily Schwend (MTC American Play Prize Winner), and Ken Urban (The Awake; Upcoming: The Correspondent at Rattlestick).

JUST RIGHT JUST NOW, presented by Lesser America in residence at Theater for the New City (155 1st Avenue between 9th and 10th Street), will play a three-week engagement October 10th - 27th; Thursday through Sunday at 8pm.
