Join the African Burial Ground National Monument for National Park Week April 21-28, 2018 America's largest celebration of national heritage is about making great connections, exploring amazing places, discovering open spaces, and enhancing America's best idea-the national parks!

Sat. April 21 - National Junior Ranger Day

An all-day marathon to appoint future rangers, with Junior Ranger Ceremonies at:

11:30 AM, 1:00 PM and 2:30 PM

Film Screenings: Begin each day at 1:00 pm

Tues. April 24 - America's National Parks

Tour of more than 50 National Park Service sites will leave you breathless through the beautiful footage of national monuments, battlefields, parks, and more. Runtime: 120 minutes

Wed. April 25 - The Statue of Liberty Enlightening the World

Explore the remarkable steps leading to the massive sculpture's creation. Rare footage and archival photos document the radical methods the French devised for shaping and transporting their incredible creation to America. Runtime: 50 minutes (Encore at 2:00 PM)

Thurs. April 26 - Eastern National Parks & Historic Sites

From Acadia to the Everglades, from Jamestown to Vicksburg, join us as we explore some of America's extraordinary places. Runtime: 2 hours, 15 minutes.

Fri. April 27 - Trail of Tears National Historic Trail

Explore one of the darkest chapters in American history: the forced removal of the Cherokee Nation from their Native lands in the southeastern United State to the West, and their determined struggled to maintain their cultural identity. Runtime: 23 minutes (Encore at 2:00 PM)

Sat. April 28 - Where America Begins

Learn all about where America began! Tour Jamestown, Yorktown, and Williamsburg as you discover how these places helped shape America as we know it today. Runtime: 120 minutes

The film National Parks of New York Harbor will play in the visitor center each day on the hour.
