John Hill will star in Whiskers on Kittens on July 11th at 7:00 PM at the Encore Space (266 W. 47th St.). The one-man show, which is presented by Sabrina Gordin, will feature musical direction by Jonah Speidel.
A rather tongue-in-cheek press release describes the show as "a magical and majestical
jaunt filled with laughs and tears...A show for all seasons, a show for all ages, a show that will
make his mom very, VERY disappointed. The man who was called 'somewhat
convincing' by the New York Times and 'hunky' by the New York Post
returns to the New York stage with a vigor, passion, and a dedication
to his fanbase that may or may not exist."Hill's fanbase would know him for originating the roles of Jason in Bare, Mark Herron in The Boy from Oz and Fender in Hairspray(he also performed the role of Link Larkin several times).Hill also appeared in a national touring company of Miss Saigon.There is a $15 cover/ $12 foodor drink minimum for Whiskers on Kittens.
