This month, Broadway's Tony Award-winning, record-breaking musical smash Chicago is pleased to welcome Tony Award nominee John Dossett in his debut engagement as Billy Flynn, joined by two-time Tony Award nominee Charlotte d'Amboise in a special return engagement as Roxie Hart.

John Dossett is slated for a ten-week limited engagement, Monday, January 19 through Sunday, March 29.

He has appeared in 15 Broadway shows including Pippin, Newsies, Prelude to a Kiss, The Constant Wife, Democracy and the 2003 revival of Gypsy, for which he received a Tony Award nomination.

With more than 30 Off-Broadway credits, he has performed with a variety of acclaimed theatre companies including Circle Rep, Ridge Theater, Lincoln Center, The Public Theatre, Playwrights Horizons and The Kennedy Center.

His numerous television and film credits include "The Good Wife," all of the "Law and Order" franchises, "Homicide," "Blue Bloods," "The Americans," Man on a Ledge, Little Manhattan and Longtime Companion.

In the role of Billy Flynn, Dossett takes over for John O'Hurley, who plays his final performance on Sunday, January 18 before rejoining the company of the current Chicago National Tour.

One of the most celebrated members of the worldwide Chicago family, Charlotte d'Amboise rejoins the Broadway cast in the starring role of Roxie Hart for 14 performances only beginning Thursday, January 22.

d'Amboise holds the record for having played Roxie Hart more than any other actress in the history of the production -- more than 2,500 performances on Broadway and the road combined to date. For her portrayal of Roxie in the first national tour of Chicago, d'Amboise earned the L.A. Drama Critics Circle Award, L.A. Ovation Award and a Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle Award. She received Tony Award nominations for her performances in Jerome Robbins' Broadway and the revival of A Chorus Line. As previously announced, on Monday, February 2, Grammy Award winner Jennifer Nettles and Carly Hughes will join the Broadway company as Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly, respectively.

With a legendary score by John Kander and Fred Ebb, and a book by Fred Ebb andBob Fosse, Chicago is the longest-running American musical in Broadway history -- and it shows no sign of ever slowing down!
Produced by Barry and Fran Weissler, Chicago is the winner of six 1997 Tony Awards including Best Musical Revival and the Grammy Award for Best Musical Cast Recording.

Set amidst the razzle-dazzle decadence of the 1920s, Chicago is the story of Roxie Hart, a housewife and nightclub dancer who murders her on-the-side lover after he threatens to walk out on her. Desperate to avoid conviction, she dupes the public, the media and her rival cellmate, Velma Kelly, by hiring Chicago's slickest criminal lawyer to transform her malicious crime into a barrage of sensational headlines, the likes of which might just as easily be ripped from today's tabloids.

CHICAGO is directed by Tony Award winner Walter Bobbie and choreographed by Tony Award winner Ann Reinking, with set design by John Lee Beatty, costume design by Tony Award winner William Ivey Long, lighting design by Tony Award winner Ken Billington and sound design by Scott Lehrer.
