Matt Doyle, of Broadway's SPRING AWAKENING and BYE BYE BIRDIE, as well as TV hit "Gossip Girl," returns this April to Joe's Pub with a unique follow-up to his two sold-out engagements last summer. The concert will take place on Wednesday, April 21 at 7 PM.
Inspired by his passion for the up-and-coming writing talents of musical theatre, Matt's all-new concert will highlight the most current, thrilling and innovative sounds of musical theater. The show will feature songs by writers like Kerrigan & Lowdermilk,
Joe Iconis and
Ryan Scott Oliver, and several other young composers.
The concert will be directed by
Travis Greisler with musical supervision by
Brian Lowdermilk, and is being produced by Katie Riegel (jokr productions) and
Noah Cornman (Sh-K-Boom &
Ghostlight Records). Tickets will cost $20.

Dubbed "Best Oddball Night" by
New York Magazine, the World Record Appreciation Society features an ever-changing lineup of eclectic performers setting unique world records. The night is hosted by the Universal Record Database (URDB.org), a Web site The New Yorker says "is to the Guinness World Records as Wikipedia is to the Encyclopaedia Britannica." World records set at previous events have ranged from 'Most Cocktail Umbrellas Fit In Hair In One Minute' to 'Tallest Drawing Of A Midget' to 'Most Bananas Fit In A Pair Of Pants At Once.' URDB are regular guests on Late Night With
Jimmy Fallon, and host thousands of unique records on their site. Tickets will cost $12.
Lesley Gore will perform at Joe's Pub on Thursday, April 22 at 7 PM. The most commercially successful solo artist of the "Girl Group" era, with a string of hits, including "It's My Party" and "You Don't Own Me,"
Lesley Gore dazzled the world with her brilliant pop instincts and independent spirit. Her now-burnished voice deepens everything it touches with the hard-won wisdom of time. Tickets will cost $30.

After high profile appearances in 2009 at South by Southwest Festival, and the Latin Grammy Awards, Mexican recording artist Juan Son makes his Joe's Pub debut on April 24, 2010 with a special appearance by
John Cameron Mitchell. A student of the London Center of Contemporary Music, Juan Son is the former lead singer of the popular Mexican indie rock band Porter. Juan Son's first solo album, "Mermaid Sashimi" (2009) showcases his talents as both singer and storyteller with a production featuring vocal effects, wordless chanting, and lyrics in both English and Spanish. The album was nominated for a Latin Grammy.
Following a successful career on and off-Broadway,
John Cameron Mitchell went on to co-write (with
Stephen Trask) and star in the hit musical "Hedwig and the Angry Inch." He wrote, directed and starred in the screen version subsequently wrote and directed the acclaimed film "Shortbus." Juan Son's Joe's Pub debut is produced in association with Earl Dax and Esther Creative Group. Tickets will cost $15.
On Saturday April 24 at midnight, GLITTER ON THE MATTRESS: B-52S BURLESQUE will perform.
