Joe's Pub at The Public is celebrating 15 years of presenting the best in live music and performance nightly. This month, a series of new initiatives and highlights are being announced as part of its anniversary, beginning with the installation of d&b audiotechnik's state-of-the-art White Range sound system.

Featuring new amplifiers, main front-of-house speakers, subwoofers and stage monitors, d&b's White Range gives audience members and artists the superior sound quality they have come to expect at Joe's Pub, and demonstrates the venue's commitment to maintaining the highest production value of any performance space of its size.

"The advantage of having such an intimate space is the connection between the audience and artist," said Joe's Pub director Shanta Thake. "Utilizing a new sound system from d&b audio makes that connection even more palpable."

"Joe's Pub is one of those rare, intimate venues where audio quality and pattern control is paramount," said Michael Eisenberg, Northeast Regional Manager of d&b audiotechnik. "Careful consideration was paid toward the system design and products. We are simply thrilled to be a part of Joe's Pub and their 15th anniversary."

This fall also marks the first anniversary of The Public Theater's $40 million revitalization of its downtown home at Astor Place, unveiled in October 2012 and designed to engage the entire New York community.

d&b is regarded as one of the leading companies in electroacoustics. Its products are used globally in concert halls, theatres, opera houses, broadcast and everything from the smallest conference room to the largest stadium. Creating theater for one of the largest and most diverse audience bases in New York City for nearly 60 years, today the Company engages audiences in a variety of venues-including its landmark downtown home at Astor Place, which houses five theaters and Joe's Pub; the Delacorte Theater in Central Park, home to its beloved, free Shakespeare in the Park; and the Mobile Unit, which tours Shakespearean productions for underserved audiences throughout New York City's five boroughs. The Public's wide range of programming includes free Shakespeare in the Park, the bedrock of the Company's dedication to making theater accessible to all, new and experimental stagings at The Public at Astor Place, and a range of artist and audience development initiatives including its Public Forum series, which brings together theater artists and professionals from a variety of disciplines for discussions that shed light on social issues explored in Public productions. The Public Theater is located on property owned by the City of New York and receives annual support from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs. The LuEsther T.
