Joe's Pub 10 for the 10th: 10 Free Shows October 11th & 12th

On October 11th and 12th, Joe's Pub will be offering 10 free shows in celebration of 10 years of the Pub.  The shows on Saturday, October 11th will feature Baby Loves Salsa with Jose Conde at 11:00 AM, Raul Midón at 2:30 PM, Jill Sobule with John Wesley Harding at 6:00 PM, Imani Uzuri presents Mosaic with Haale, Matou and DJ Rekha at 9:30 PM, and the Budos Band at 12:30 AM.  On Sunday, October 12th, Allen Toussaint kicks things off at 11:00 AM, followed by Roy Nathanson and Friends with special guest Debbie Harry at 2:30 PM, Reggie Watts with Kristen Schall at 6:00 PM, The Stew Songbook featuring Michael Cerveris, Penny Arcade, John Cameron Mitchell and more at 9:30 PM, and finishing up the 10-show run is 'Be In: A Night of Music & Love' with members of the Public Theater's Cast of 'Hair' at 12:30 AM.

Free tickets are available through October 5th by registering online at http://vline.publictheater.org:8081/account/. Once registered, you can log on to join the virtual line and submit a request for up to two tickets per show. Select as many shows as you would like to attend. Log on again on October 6th anytime to see if you have been selected to receive a pair of tickets. People are chosen at random, not in the order requests are received. Please note: The system will only allow you to register one time per show.

Tickets may also be purchased 24 hours a day online at joespub.com. Between the hours of 10 am and 9 pm, tickets can be purchased by phone at 212.967.7555, and between the hours of 11 am and 5 pm tickets can be purchased and dinner reservations can be made simultaneously by calling 212.539.8778. You may buy tickets in person at The Public Theater box office, located at 425 Lafayette Street from 1:00 pm to 6:00pm on Sundays and Mondays and 1:00pm to 7:30pm from Tuesday through Saturday. Tickets are also available for purchase in person at Joe's Pub from 6:00pm to 10:00pm, seven days a week. Please note that many shows at Joe's Pub do sell out in advance, so door sales are subject to availability. To secure a dinner reservation, call 212.539.8778.  Purchase of a ticket does not guarantee seating; seating, as well as standing-room, is available only on a first-come, first-served basis for all shows without a dinner reservation. Two drink or $12 food minimum per person. Once purchased, tickets are non-refundable.

Joe's Pub is part of The Joseph Papp Public Theater, located at 425 Lafayette Street between East 4th and Astor Place in New York's East Village. There is a parking garage at 403 Lafayette Street, just south of The Public Theater. Call 212.254.1263 for further information. There is very limited street parking available after 6 pm.  To get to Joe's Pub by subway, take the 6 to Astor Place and Lafayette Street/4th Avenue, or the N/R/W to 8th Street/NYU at Broadway.
