Joe Sirola to Perform Shakespeare's AGES OF MAN, 12/27

Joe Sirola will perform his acclaimed presentation of Shakespeare's 'Ages of Man' - a montage of Shakespearean soliloquy, describing in Shakespeare's words humanity's journey through life - on Saturday Night, December 27, 2014 as part of Theatre 80's A Tribute To Joyce Randolph on the occasion of her signing the concrete of the Walk of Fame. The event will also feature Tandy Cronyn performing Tall Boy, a compelling tale of displaced children in the aftermath of WWII.

In "Ages," Joe performs eighteen of the bard's great characters. From "All the world's a stage, And all the men and women merely players..." in "As You Like It," through Prospero's renunciation of his magic, and symbolic farewell, in "The Tempest," the "Ages of Man" portrays the progression of life from infancy through "second childishness and mere oblivion." The lines alternately exude bitter sadness, biting humor, intense excitement, and always an unmatched understanding of what it means to be human. Sirola's journey through the "Ages" introduces us to Hamlet and Lear, Macbeth and Mercutio, Romeo, Claudio, Petrucchio, Angelo and Lorenzo, not to mention a Clarence, Caliban and Ceasar, a pair of Richard's and a Hotspur to boot.

Joe Sirola is the voice you all know but never knew who it was. The most successful TV commercial voice of all time, he was called, The King of the Voice Overs. His face is well known for his distinguished career as a character actor in such films as Clint Eastwood's Hang 'Em High, Sunday, and Hail To The Chief. He starred in the TV series, The Montefucos, The Magician, and Wolf. His guest star appearances are many, including, NYPD Blue, Spin City, and The Untouchables.
