Legendary cabaret singer JOANNE BERETTA, who returned to NYC on February 3rd for her first solo cabaret engagement in 25 years, sold out all three performances before singing a single note. The day after the opening, Danny's extended her engagement to include three more performances.
The previously announced dates, now overbooked, are February 3, 10 and 17 at 7PM.The added performances are: WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 22 at 7 PM MONDAY, FEBRUARY 27 AT 9:15 PM FRIDAY, MARCH 3 AT 7 PM Presented by Kathleen Chalfant, the engagement continues at Danny's Skylight Room, 346 West 46th Street (on Theatre Row). Accompanied by Franklin Underwood, Ms. Beretta sings songs by such diverse writers as Joni Mitchell, Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan.

Ms. Beretta began singing professionally in San Francisco in the 1950s, earning raves and a devoted following with appearances at the Fallen Angel (with Johnny Mathis), the Hungry i, the Purple Onion and other clubs. Moving to NYC, she appeared in regional theatre and played "The Governor" in Tommy Tune's PBIE Award-winning off-Broadway production "The Club." She also played highly acclaimed and extended engagements at Upstairs at the Duplex, The Showplace, Bon Soir, Downstairs at the Upstairs, Reno Sweeney's and Brothers & Sisters as well as at Town Hall and Carnegie Hall.
In 1978 she decided she didn't want to sing in public anymore. During her singing career in the 50s, 60s and 70s, Joanne had a parallel career as an award-winning designer and floral decorator.
