Following his sold-out show in March, world-famous comedian Jo Koy returns to Treasure Island May 1 at 9 p.m. during one of the biggest fight weekends in Las Vegas history.

Koy began his journey in the world of comedy performing at a Las Vegas coffee house in 1994. It wasn't long before his explosive personality, witty jokes, Filipino heritage and family humor made him one of the most sought-after comedians in the industry.

In 2005, Koy landed a coveted spot on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and joined the ranks of the select few to ever receive a standing ovation. Following his "Tonight Show" success, Koy hit the road as a part of Carlos Mencia's "Punisher Tour" in 2006.

Since then, Koy has appeared in numerous shows and specials including "Comedy Gives Back," "Jaime Foxx Presents: Laffapalooza," "Jimmy Kimmel Live," "Last Call with Carson Daly" and various VH1 specials.

Koy starred in two of his own specials on Comedy Central, "Don't Make Him Angry" in 2009 and "Lights Out" in 2012. He was also a regular panelist on "Chelsea Lately," appearing on more than 100 episodes from 2009 through the finale last year, and will appear on Chelsea Handler's new project when it debuts on Netflix this fall.

Currently, Koy co-hosts "The Michael Yo and Jo Koy Show" podcast and is a regular guest on "The Adam Carolla Show" podcast, both available on iTunes.

Koy's stage name comes from the Filipino term "Jokoy" which means joker and was his childhood nickname.

Tickets are available starting at $49.95, plus tax and handling fees, and can be purchased online at www.treasureisland.com, or by calling the box office at 866-712-9308 or 702-894-7722. Guests must be 18 years or older to attend.
