The Jewish Museum will present a fun-filled family day for Passover, Freedom Art Jam, on Sunday, March 29 from 12 noon to 4pm. Special activities for the holiday include a dance party with Baby Loves Disco, a performance by The Macaroons, a huge drop-in art workshop, and holiday spotlight tours.

This event is for children ages 3 and up, and is free with Museum admission. Adults are asked to accompany their children. For further information regarding family programs, the public may visit TheJewishMuseum.org/programs/families or call 212.423.3200. The Jewish Museum is located at Fifth Avenue and 92nd Street, Manhattan.

FREEDOM ART JAM EVENTS
12 noon to 1:30pm
BABY LOVES DISCO DANCE PARTY
Baby Loves Disco was created by professional dancer and mother Heather Murphy Monteith as an alternative to the pre-packaged world of entertainment for young kids. At this party, Baby Loves Disco's DJs will spin a mix of classic dance hits for all ages to enjoy. Kids can also shake their feet and dance together to spirited tunes in honor of Passover, from Bob Marley's Freedom Song to Matisyahu. Dances will be invented and inspired by the holiday including the "matzah ball bump" and the "frog hop twist".

2pm
PERFORMANCE: THE MACAROONS
The Macaroons play catchy pop-rock with tunes for the Passover holiday and more that will keep the whole family grooving to their delicious beats. The big harmonies, irresistible melodies and guitar-based sound that's more Beatles than Wiggles recall everything from the Kinks and Queen to the Shins.

A spinoff from the acclaimed indie rock band, The LeeVees, The Macaroons - Shawn Fogel (bass), Dan Saks (guitar), Dave Schneider (guitar), and Tim Walsh (drums) - have delighted children and families in synagogues, JCCs, and concert venues across the country. Their first album, Let's Go Coconuts, was released in 2010.

12 noon to 4pm
DROP-IN ART WORKSHOP
Participants can choose from three activities.

Passover Art in the Round
Inspired by Passover Seder plates and Nicole Eisenman's painting, Seder, kids can create scenes on circles of watercolor paper depicting favorite images from the holiday.

Matzah Storybooks
Children can develop stories in an accordion book form, sharing a memory or imaginative tale with matzah as the centerpiece.

Giant Seder Plate Collage
Drawing inspiration from contemporary and traditional Seder plates in the Museum's collection, families will be able to collaborate on a giant Seder plate collage using magazine paper, colored tape, and many other random items.

12:30pm and 1:30pm
HOLIDAY SPOTLIGHT TOURS
A Museum educator will conduct a brief tour highlighting objects on view related to Passover, including a sketching activity.

All day
SELF-GUIDED FAMILY EXHIBITION TOURS
Specialized printed family gallery hunts for Masterpieces & Curiosities: Nicole Eisenman's Seder will be available.
