On Sunday afternoon, December 13, 2015, the Jewish Museum will host Dress Up, Dreidel Down Hanukkah Disco Party, its annual family Hanukkah fundraiser from 3pm to 5pm. This special event, which benefits the Jewish Museum, will feature celebratory holiday activities for adults, and children ages 2 through tweens. The Jewish Museum is located at Fifth Avenue and 92nd Street, Manhattan.

The party will feature a DJ set by 9-year-old DJ Alden. Upon arrival young guests will have an opportunity to "walk the red carpet." Photos will be taken by "paparazzi" at the entrance to the Museum's Scheuer Auditorium, and "reporters" - the Jewish Museum's Director, Claudia Gould, and Host Committee members Sharon Coplan Hurowitz and Doreen Remen - will interview attendees about their wardrobe, their personality, and their favorite things about Hanukkah.

Other activities include a candle lighting ceremony at 3:30pm; a glitter tattoo parlor with Glitter Tattoo New York; balloon art by Todd Neufeld's Twisted Balloon Company; an arts and crafts workshop; a photo booth; and latke bites, jelly donuts, and mocktails.

The party will benefit The Jewish Museum's educational programs and exhibitions. Members of the Host Committee include Beth and Zach Altschuler, Darcie and Jonathan Crystal, Sharon Coplan Hurowitz and Richard Hurowitz, Betty and John Levin, Karen and Gustave Lipman, Federica Marchionni, Shara Mendelson, Miraldina and Anthony Meyer, Margaret and Eric Porres, Elizabeth and Ronald Reede, Doreen Remen and Steven Weiner, Deborah Sachs Rothman and Michael Rothman, Ellen Salpeter, Tracy Spitzer, Lynn and Glen Tobias, Colin and Stella Weil, Monica and Andrew Weinberg, Caroline Baron and Anthony Weintraub, and Nanar and Tony Yoseloff.

Tickets are limited, and range from $48 for individuals and $218 for a family, to $360 and $720 for additional packages. Ticket information may be obtained by visiting http://jmhanukkah.eventbrite.com or by calling 212.423.3264.

DJ Alden is not your typical 9-year-old, having been around the DJ booth his entire life. He comes from a musical family with strong ties to New York nightlife, and had his first birthday party at the legendary Cielo Nightclub. DJing piqued his interest very early on and he began studying the craft at age 6. Always driven and with an insatiable appetite to "use music to make people happy," Alden has been bringing his youthful perspective on electronic dance music to parties, fashion shows, and corporate events for the past 2 years. Currently he is the Resident DJ for CirKiz, A Cool Kid's Dance Party, which has raised the bar on family entertainment in New York. He has also recently DJ'd for The John Lennon Imagine Peace Event in Central Park, petitePARADE fashion show, and the ED by Ellen launch for the Gap.

Hanukkah commemorates the miraculous events and heroic deeds that occurred in ancient Israel during a desperate war for Jewish religious and political freedom. The eight-day festival is observed this year beginning at sundown on Sunday, December 6.
