Jessica-Snow Wilson will assume the role of Olive Ostrovsky in the Broadway production of the Tony Award-winning musical comedy The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, beginning Tuesday, September 19.

Celia Keenan-Bolger, who received a Tony Award nomination for her performance in Spelling Bee and was recently announced to join Les Miserables, will play her final performance at Circle in the Square (50th Street between Broadway & Eighth Avenue) on Sunday, September 17.

Wilson has appeared on Broadway in Good Vibrations, Little Shop of Horrors, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum and Les Misérables as well as the City Center Encores! production of Hair.  Off-Broadway, the actress was seen in Bingo, Zombie Prom, I Sing and Me and Juliet.  Wilson's other theatrical credits include The Wizard of Oz, Grease, Baby and Stars in Your Eyes.  Prior to appearing in Spelling Bee, she will be seen in the world premiere of Wasps In Bed at the Beckett Theatre.

"In The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, six young people in the throes of puberty, overseen by grown-ups who barely managed to escape childhood themselves, learn that winning isn't everything and that losing doesn't necessarily make you a loser in this funny, tender and sardonic musical," as the show is described in press notes.

While Spelling Bee continues its Broadway run at the Circle in the Square Theatre, productions are also playing in Chicago at the Drury Lane Theatre/Water Tower Place and in San Francisco at the Post Street Theatre.  The San Francisco production finishes its run on September 3 and then moves, with most of its original cast, to Boston's Wilbur Theatre, where performances begin September 26.  Additionally, a national touring production kicks off at Baltimore's Hippodrome Theatre at the France-Merrick Performing Arts Center beginning September 19.

The show was conceived by Rebecca Feldman, features music and lyrics by Tony Award-winner William Finn (Falsettos, Elegies) and a Tony Award-winning book by Rachel Sheinkin, with additional material by Jay Reiss.

When she joins The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Wilson will be featured with Derrick Baskin as Mitch Mahoney, Deborah S. Craig as Marcy Park, Barrett Foa as Leaf Coneybear, Josh Gad as William Barfee, Lisa Howard as Rona Lisa Peretti, Jose Llana as Chip Tolentino, Sarah Saltzberg as Logainne Schwartzandgrubenierre and Greg Stuhr as Douglas Panch.

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee performs at Circle in the Square (50th St., between Broadway & 8th) on the following schedule: Tuesdays at 7pm; Wednesdays through Saturdays at 8 PM, Saturday matinees at 2 PM; Sundays at 3 and 7:30 PM.  Tickets are available through Telecharge at 212-239-6200 (or at www.telecharge.com), or at the Circle in the Square box office.
