Casting is now complete for the upcoming 4×15 workshop of David Davila's VOX POP at Musical Theatre Factory in Manhattan. Directed by Srda Vasiljevic with musical direction by Karl Hedrick, the musical tells the story of a future where countries are traded like stocks between powerful corporations - bees are extinct and humans slaves must pollinate the crops.

Leading the cast is Jessica Kahkoska as the young heroine Sylathia, Brian Charles Rooney as rebel leader Reckal Rimmith, Brendan Daugherty as the trusted friend XooXoo, Injoy Fountain as Bryzal, Gaby Hornig as the Consultant General, and Erin Rubico as Emperor Ometta. Rounding out the cast are Aaron Shaw, Michelle Siracusa, Jackie Shiffer, Emile Mervis, Tim Hein, and Jeannine Frumess.

Musical Theatre Factory's 4×15 series showcases four new shows by up-and-coming writers in four 15-minute staged presentations. Each creative team will have 5 hours to workshop the strongest (or most troublesome) excerpt of their piece. A cast of MTF volunteer performers will then have 15 minutes to present each excerpt before an audience and a panel of industry professionals. The audience is invited to offer supportive feedback to the writers and creative teams. Come have a drink at the Factory bar, and get in on the creative process!

VOX POP has music and lyrics by David Davila with a book by David Davila and Mark Andrew Garner. This workshop will be music directed by Karl Hedrick.

The other three productions featured will be Brett Macias' GUMBO, David Berg's OPEN ROAD, and NEWTON'S CRADLE by Saunders and Saunders.

The fully staged workshop presentation will be held on February 18th at 8:00pm. Visit mtf.nyc for more information. Tickets are available here.
