The Film Society of Lincoln Center has announced that Golden Globe winner and two-time Academy Award nominee actress Jessica Chastain will appear on Friday, February 8th at 3:00pm at the Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center Amphitheater for a conversation on film in a special free-to-the-public event.

A noted alum of the Drama Division at The Julliard School, since graduating from the school with a BFA in 2003, Chastain has received major accolades for her roles in films like Ralph Fiennes' CORIOLANUS, John Madden's THE DEBT, John Hillcoat's LAWLESS, Jeff Nichols' TAKE SHELTER, Terrence Malick's THE TREE OF LIFE and Tate Taylor's THE HELP (for which she received her first nomination last year for an Academy Award). She can currently be seen in Andrés Muschietti's MAMA and Katherine Bigelow's Academy Award nominated film, ZERO DARK THIRTY (for which she recently won Best Actress at the National Board of Review, the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Drama and for which she is currently nominated for Best Actress for the upcoming Academy Awards), as well as her Broadway-debut turn in THE HEIRESS.

Chastain is the latest in a series of high profile guests that have appeared (in person or via Skype) at the Film Society of Lincoln Center to talk about some of the most acclaimed movies of the past year. Recent guests have included: Ben Affleck for ARGO, Christopher Nolan for THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, Joe Wright for Anna KarenINA and David France for his Academy Award-nominated documentary HOW TO SURVIVE A PLAGUE.

Tickets will be available at the Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center box office on a first-come, first-served basis one hour prior to the conversation. For those unable to attend in person, video from the event will be available online at FilmLinc.com.
